About Paulo

Paulo came to England from Brazil in the early 1990’s having originally graduated as a mechanical engineer! His first position in hospitality in the UK was with the London based restaurant Bertorelli`s, situated next to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.  Here, he was trained by a highly regarded Italian chef and Paulo soon realized his passion and love for food and decided to pursue a career in the kitchen.

Paulo’s success at Bertorelli`s lead to a job at the Bluebird restaurant on the Kings Road, Chelsea followed by another career enhancing move to Mash, Oliver Peyton`s London restaurant.  Looking for a new challenge, Paulo moved to Cambridgeshire and took the role of Executive Chef for a prestigious events catering company where he worked for over 10 years.

With his vast experience in the food industry and a great deal of passion for what he does, Paulo made the decision to fulfil his dream of running his own business, and Catering by Paulo was born.
